In 2009, Mark & Margie purchased and renovated a 1948 double-storey building on the main road in Bathurst, originally built as a workshop and fuel filling station, and renamed it The Workshop Art & Craft Gallery. They started with only Mark’s “Benchmark” garden and patio furniture, Margie’s handwoven mats and shawls, and the support of three friends – ex-Zimbabwean artist Nicky Rosselli, Monty’s “Big (indigenous) Trees” and Pat Burnett’s famous faerie t-shirts. The gallery now showcases over 100 talented local, regional and international permanent exhibitors.

We welcome you to browse for something unusual, inspired, provocative, indigenous, handcrafted, unique, recycled, antique, organic – at Bathurst’s First Stop – The Workshop.
